Slice #8 of 31 Slice of Life: A Garden of Light

I am happy to be participating in Two Writing Teachers' Slice of Life March Challenge.  I will be posting every day in March.  My students are also participating and you can read their slices on the Classroom Challenge page.

Tonight, my husband and I visited Franklin Park Conservatory to view the light show created by Bruce Munro.  To say it was breathtaking is an understatement.  I especially delighted in the number of young children there who were skipping through the lights, thoroughly enjoying themselves.  One little girl exclaimed, "This is the best kind of garden there is."  Her words inspired the poem I wrote.  It was so much fun to discover (my OLW) another treasure in our city.
