Slice of Life March Challenge

I am joining Two Writing Teachers in the March Slice of Life Challenge.  Our goal is to write each and every day in March.  I invite you to head over to their site to read and comment on other Slice of Life stories.

It's early morning.  The house sleeps as I write.  The beginning of the March Slice of Life Challenge brings a sense of excitement.  It is at this time that I recommit to writing every day.

I'm especially excited because so many classrooms have joined the March Challenge in my building.  The school was abuzz yesterday as I popped into different rooms.  They talked about what they would write about as they made their journals.  Stories floated around, giving young writers new ideas.  We even talked about what to do when the challenge got hard.  You could feel the love of writing!

I'm so looking forward to the conversations, stories, and the strengthening of writing community as we embark on this journey.

  1. Julie, this is an exciting day. I am looking forward to reconnecting with you and so many other friends. Did you get the badges? My class is so excited about the badges. They each made their own charts to keep track of badges and we put up sticker charts for the daily slices. Such buzz over writing. I love it!
